I am a self taught artist , born on the 25th of January 1983 in Zimbabwe Chitungwiza and presently based in a small town in the Cape called Middelburg. With the full time requirements of being an artist, I had to leave my accounting studies to pursue my passion in art. I developed a keen interest in drawing since tertiary schooling started painting in 2002. I later became commercial artist in 2003 . My first exhibitions was 2006 by my participation in the BLU(Black Like Us) art exhibition hosted by Manor Gallery ,Water Colour Society of South Africa(the gallery has since been closed), from which I did win the following prizes and awards: - Best on show & first prize 2008. - 3rd prize winner 2009 . - 1st prize & best on show 2012. Galleries I deal with at present are , Crouse Art Gallery in George( started 2016) , The Gallery Riebeek (started 2016) , The Workshop Art and Craft Gallery in Burthurst and soon to send work The Green Gallery in Durban or Art Window in Clear Water Mall in Roodepoort if I do get to have stock. My philosophy is that when I think about making a painting , I am also thinking is telling a story. I love the way information in the artwork allows the viewer to discover facts about the subject. How I paint , loose or tight colorful , plain or vividly busy says volumes about the subject composition . How I would be feeling at that time greatly influence the outcome of the artwork eg:happy -colorful bright works , relaxed - loose and sometimes plain artworks. Energetic -vividly busy paintings. I get a much emotional response from a painting that include people , flora and fauna.
